Večer pred.

(or The evening before.)

Sestra mi je namreč pripravila cel "wedding survival kit for photographers (or me)". In – last but not least – v cd playerju me je čakal moj najljubši cd Dave Matthews Band-a! Like – I have the best sister ever and I feel like bragging today ;).

Eng: The evening before the wedding I have my little rituals: getting ready, checking my camera, packing the additional clothes, reading "wedding magazines" and thinking about the couple I will be working with the next day. I choose my clothes very carefully and think twice about the shoes I'll be wearing id the weather prognosis is bad. Because they gave to be more or less "waterproof" and quiet so there is no sound from me, when we are at the altar :). Well, yes, I have to think about this things too :).

Me and my sister share a car, so I went to get the car (we weren't living at tha same place at that time). The weather prognosis was bad for the next day and I was still trying to find "the right clothes" for the wedding. I sat into the car and there was a note inside saying that there is a surprise waiting for me in the trunk and the back seat. My sister actually prepared the best "wedding survival kit for photographers (or me)" :). There was a bag with food inside: apples, my favourite cookies, water and crackers. In the bag there were three pair of shoes (on for the warm part of the day, the other for the rain and cold) and a rain coat in case of heavy rain. And last but not least - there was my favourite cd from Dave Matthews band in the cd player!. Yes, I have the best sister ever and I feel like bragging today ;).

In še fotografija :). :)

Eng: And the photo :). I made this one two months ago and sister "pimped" it a bit :).

Lomography in Polaroid

(or Lomography and Polaroid)

Pred tednom dni sem imela "projekt" pofotografirati večino fotoaparatov v Incognito trgovini v Ljubljani, kjer prodajajo res najbolj funky, luštne, analogne "toy cameras" (Lomography) in pa "popravljene" stare Polaroide + vse vrste dodatkov (filmi, objektivi, fleši, albumi, ...), ki jih potrebuje resen "Lomo" fotograf  :).

Totally my kind of feeling ;).

Eng: A week ago I had a "project" to take photography of almost every camera from Incognito shop in Ljubjana. They sell so called "toy cameras" (Lomo) over there, which really are so funky, cute and analog (another + ;)). They have all the accessories as well: the lenses, films, flashes, albums. Ang they also hold refubrished Polaroid cameras - crazy! :)

The summer-afternoon-window-light, a white wall (or a bag for a colorful background) and shooting open wide. Totally my kind of feeling ;). I enjoyed making "the scenes" and placing them like this or like that to get the most from them and the place I was working in. And I do like the outcome ;).

Plaža

(or The Beach)

Prav lepo pozdravljeni v poletju! ;)

Eng: Yesterday it was the first day of Summer and was thinkig about sea, resting, being lazy, reading novels and playing games sorunded with some nice people. By the river, sea or the lake. But if I had to choose I would nevertheless chose the sea air with an evening portion of tomato salad with basil and homamade olive oil. And with pile of novels - either on this or that beach :).

Welcome to the summer! ;)

Portorož, poroka: Urša + Niki

(Portorož Wedding: Urša + Niki)

Zadnja nedelja v maju. Sonce, morje, Portorož in "ravnokar" mož in žena v poročnih oblekah.

Eng: The last Sunday in May - sea, sun, Portorož and "just married" husband and wife in their wedding dresses. People couldn't stop starring at this beautiful couple. Urša and Niki - they both still had so much energy, even though we met only arund twelve hours after their wedding day. We started the preparation in the most beatiful suite in Hotel Rivera.

Eng: Aleksandra Nikolić was a make-up artist, who took care of Urša and was a great company. Thank you so much again for providing beautiful make-up!

Urša je nosila čudovito obleko Maje Ferme.

Eng: Urša wore a gorgeous dress made by Maja Ferme.

Ko sta bila oba pripravljena, smo odšli na sprehod v mesto in jaz sem poiskala zanimive stene in lokacije ter lovila sem mehko in toplo svetlobo. Urša, čudovita si. Resnično!

Eng: When they were ready, we took a walk downtown and I tried to find interesting walls and locations with the most soft and warm light. And, Urša, you truly are stunning!

Loving it! :)

Eng: We had the most amazing afternoon - so much laughter and spontaneity. I am so glad that I cought those kind of moments. And I am truly grateful for all my couples, who trust me, because that is the reason I am able to catch those smiles. Loving it! :)

Eng: Urša and Niki: I hope you loooove the photos. That they are everything you wanted them to be, that they have caught those moments (the most important ones) "in between". Thank you for everything!

One-day-after session

Eng: My dear friend Urša got married on the last Saturday of May. I was already booked on that date, so I asked Urša and Niki, if they wanted to have a one-day-after photo session with me and they were immediately in. :) And so I got a chance to take photos of a married couple in wedding dresses! :) It was so much fun! It was a great experience for me as well, because there is no wedding day pressure, no ordered moments to catch - well - I just have to catch their love :). And they both had a wonderful, relaxed Sunday afternoon in Portorož making even more memories connected with their wedding day.

Here is just a sneak peak from a soon coming post. ;)

Kulinarična zidanica Opara, poroka: Mojca + Marko

(or Culinary vineyard cottage Opara Wedding: Mojca + Marko)

Eng: It was the last Saturday in May, when Mojca and Marko got married. Hours before the groom arrived were full of anticipation and excitement. Homestead, where Mojca lives was fully "prepared" - the corridors had this scent of freshly baked cookies, flowers and love. There were so many things going on - the familiy members were looking for shirts, pants, they were preparing "false" brides. And were having a wonderful time all along. When the time came made of honor helped her got dressed.

Svatje so se nabirali, muzikantje so igrali in mi smo si vzeli pol ure časa za sprehod po velikem vrtu domačije, kjer sem želela narediti nekaj njunih fotografij.

Eng: I took this photo of home-made cookies, when the doors to banquet reception opened. The groom has already arrived at that time, so we went to homestead's big backyard to take some photograph of the bride and the groom.

Sveže cvetje in beli stoli so le dodali še nekaj posebnega k tej prelepi, veliki in svetli cerkvi. Prelepo. :)

Eng: The church in Prečna near Novo mesto was so beautifully prepared for the ceremony. And the ceremony it self was so moving, sweet, honest that it has gotten to me - and I admit - I could shade a tear :).

In resnično nisem mogla verjeti svojim očem. :)

Eng: The weather that day was cloudy until the moment we arrived to Culinary Vineyard Cottage Opara. I couldn't believe my eyes. Everything was shining! Amazing. So we went near by and made some photos of them. :) Mojca and Marko - I hope that this photos will do justice to your first "married" sunset together! :)

Lep, sproščen, ljubezni in energije poln - čudovit, čudovit - par. In zdaj mož in žena.

Eng: When Sun went down, we went inside. This time I'm shearing a photo of a first kiss of a first dance and a photo below I like as well, because it shows everything they are. A beautiful, relaxed couple, a couple full of love and great energy. And now a husband and wife :). I consider myself a very lucky person to be able to be a wedding photographer of a couple such as you are. Thank you again!

Češnje

(or Cherries)

Eng: I don't remember ever eating cherries so juicy and delicious as this today. I halved one cherry in half and the juice had this amazing lively dark red color. They taste like "summer", I could say that they carry a memory of an early morning on a porch with a pale yellow fence. On the left there is a overgrown little garden and in the middle there stands this old and big Cherry tree. Few steps behind her there are Rosemary shrubs and Lavender. A memory or a dream - it doesn't matter. This cherries carry the both.

Coming soon: Poroka Mojca + Marko

(or Coming soon: Wedding Mojca + Marko)

Mojca in Marko sta si prejšnjo soboto izmenjala zaobljubi in prstana.

Eng: Mojca and Marko got married last Saturday. They had to feel all the most beautiful things, when they were walking down the stairs. The guest and the musicians were in front of the church waiting for them. Flowers, music, laughter. Saying congrats to newlyweds, giving them presents and wishing them all the best.
Around 8 pm they arrived to Culinary vineyard cottage Opara. And toasted to Mojca and Marko, found their seats and refreshed themselves. They had a band, which made such great atmosphere. The dance floor was big and there was enough ambient light. I let myself take a lot of photographs without flash as well. Because I just love the feeling of those kind of photos. After Mojca and Marko opened the dance floor with their first dance, there ware so many guest dancing. And they really danced, the dance floor was full all the time and while I was photographing newlyweds I could feel the love with each step they made, each smile and word they were whispered to each other. And I caught this moment - a look only a woman, who knows she is looking into the eyes of a man that loves her, can have.

Želim vam čudovit vikend. Več fotografij pa kmalu. :)

Eng: I wish you all a wonderful weekend. And more photos are coming soon. :)
